Designed as the perfect preulde to learning a musical instrument, children build on all the elements learnt in the Preschool Class and begin to read rhythmic notation. A class for children aged 4 years and up, this class is recommended for children who have completed a minimum 3 terms of our Preschool class or by invitation. To join this class, children should have fluency and confidence in singing solfa and saying and clapping rhythms.

All classes are taught by classically trained singers and alternative between violin, cello, viola and piano accompaniment, with special guests from the orchestra. All our classes are phone free spaces, allowing everyone to be fully present in the class.

We understand your little ones are growing both in size and independence, however the focus in our classes remains on adult and child participating together to support all aspects of your child’s development-emotional, cognitive, language and physical. Adults should model the participation level they expect from their child and encourage them by engaging with them throughout.

We aim to keep groups as consistent as possible and do not resell places. All siblings attending are required to be booked in and we do not allow mobile phones in any class.

We ask that you arrive no more than 5 minutes early for your class, and you wait to be invited in to allow us to clean thoroughly. As always, instruments will be sanitised before and after class.

Please DO NOT attend a Little London Music School Class if you or your child has COVID, a high tempersture or any other infectious illness.
